HR Generalist — Compliance Specialist
The Countsy Senior HR Generalist requires a hands-on HR professional who can perform the day-to-day administrative functions of multiple companies virtually, with an emphasis on Compliance. The position requires an individual with incredible attention to detail who can juggle a large client load using a high level of organizational skills and assist in developing programs and policies and respond to all employee requests. The Senior HR Generalist will work with the most complex HR clients and requests and provide Compliance guidance, support and training to the team of generalists and CPS’s as needed.
The ideal candidate must be able to work with others with varying levels of Accounting, HR, and Payroll experience both within, and outside the organization. This position requires solid multi-tasking abilities, sound judgement, and a sense of urgency. A strong HR background and solid communication skills are necessary to meet the demands of the TSC’s high-level HR clients and compliance projects.

Responsibilities
HR Compliance subject matter expert
Advising leadership and management on compliance matters, changes and updates as they occur.
Developing and providing employee training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.
Identifying, investigating, and reporting compliance issues, irregularities, and violations.
Assisting Consultants/Generalists and Field HR on compliance related items as required
Maintaining records of compliance activities.
Assisting with and preparing and filing compliance reports as required.
Benefits Implementation and Administration
Conduct new hire benefit orientations.
Collect and ensure processing of all benefit paperwork.
Approve benefit bills as needed.
Answer daily benefit questions helping clients resolve their problems.
Assist with client selection process for benefit plans.
Assist with implementation of new plans and on the annual renewal process.
General Policies and Procedures
Act as resource for client with regards to compliance and policy questions.
Perform necessary research to come up with correct options for client.
Assist with Employee Handbooks as needed.
Employee Files
Ensure that all documents are filed appropriately, conducting audits as necessary.
Hiring
Perform background checks for clients as needed.
Post jobs for clients on various recruiting sites.
Other HR Support
Act as internal HR for various clients as needed performing all of the processes listed above.
Projects and other HR tasks with varying levels of complexity.
Support client and team with timely response to information requests.
Take ownership of work and follow tasks through to completion.
Utilize research and knowledge management channels.
Develop staff proficiencies with company practices, standards, procedures, tools and methodologies.
Effectively interact with and support other Countsy staff, management and internal staff.
Perform all necessary administrative responsibilities in a timely manner (e.g. Timesheet and expense report submission, annual review, response to e-mail and voice-mail, forecasting of upcoming availability).
Comply with Countsy policies and procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements
8+ years of progressive generalist experience (2+ years in the field of compliance), senior-level experience strongly desired.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience. A Master’s degree or PHR/SPHR designation are a strong plus.
Self-directed with the ability to keep up with a very fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of creating and implementing successful processes.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of an organization, ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices or proven ability to research and find answers, reach logical conclusions, and apply to clients’ situation.
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will be extremely well-organized, professional, and discreet, with an energetic and accessible personality.
Proven track record of exemplary Client service with prior experience with multi-entity or startup clients (strongly recommended).
Ability to complete tasks effectively with little supervision.
Excellent time-management and ability to prioritize changing tasks with a sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines.
Ability to adjust to new conditions, clients, and tasks.
Knowledge of Company policy, procedures, and organizational structure.
Proficiency with various softwares, ERP systems or HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office.
Compensation and Benefits Information
Base Pay Range: $40.00 - $43.00 / hr
Other Compensation: Discretionary Bonus Plan
All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
Benefits: Medical (including FSA and HSA offerings), Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Disability insurance, 401(k) savings plan, Employee Stock Purchase plan, Paid Time Off: 18 days, Eight Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).

Washington Time Off and Leave
Management and Support Roles : Employees working in the state of Washington will receive the following time off and leave benefits:*
Short-Term Disability Benefits: RGP provides eligible employees up to 12 weeks of paid leave for total and temporary disability due to illness or injury.
Maternity Leave: For pregnancy and childbirth, female employees may receive up to 8 weeks (40 days) of paid Maternity Leave.**
Parental Leave: RGP provides 2 weeks (10 days) of paid Parental Leave for the birth or adoption of a child.**
