Staff Accountant
The Countsy Staff Accountant is responsible for upholding the Company’s commitment to the Client by focusing on quality in all aspects of delivery. In addition, the Staff Accountant has the skills to meet the objectives of the specific assignment with minimal supervision with occasional guidance and mentoring from other Accountants at a higher level.
This position is primarily responsible for performing the day-to-day administrative accounting tasks for multiple Countsy Clients. The Staff Accountant will function as a contributing team member to their assigned team, working with other Staff Accountants, Accounting Managers, Senior Accountants, HR Generalists, Payroll Specialists, and the team’s Controller and Assistant Controller. From time to time, the Staff Accountant may be asked to help with coverage of other team members’ clients.
The ideal candidate must be able to work with the designated Startup CFO or Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant for each client, and deliver a timely, and quality service to the Client, while adhering to all appropriate policies and procedures that are GAAP compliant. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and decision making. Assistance may be sought from other Accountants on the client’s Accounting team, or the Assistant Controller/Controller.

Major Responsibilities
Effectively interact with and support Countsy client team in maintaining current transactional reporting while meeting agreed upon deadlines and commitments by:
Process vendor bills and employee expense reports
Distribute customer invoices and perform follow-up collections.
Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable reconciliations functions for multiple business entities.
Assist in monthly and quarterly close including credit card processing and receipt collections.
Effectively communicate with Client, and Countsy staff to understand and document priorities and work status. Develop an understanding of the client's business.
Manage a high volume of e-mails in multiple client folders to prioritize and complete daily client tasks.
Support client and team with timely response to information requests.
Prepare and/or assist with annual 1099 reporting.
Effectively navigate and utilize the latest cloud-based technology and software programs including Dropbox, NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, and AdobeSign to seamlessly provide excellent client service.
Perform all necessary administrative responsibilities in a timely manner (e.g. Timesheet and expense report submission, annual review, response to e-mail and voice-mail, forecasting of upcoming availability).
Comply with Countsy policies and procedures.
Seek and communicate ways to improve client satisfaction.
Take ownership of work and follow tasks through to completion.
Use and administer company practices, standards, procedures, tools and methodologies.

Qualifications / Requirements
Technical skills:
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to reach logical conclusions and applications to client situations.
Proficiency with various online business tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
Prior experience with multi-entity or startup clients (strongly recommended)
Client Service skills:
Ability to manage client inquiries.
Direct complaints to relevant team members.
Provide technical assistance.
Expedite serious issues to management for prompt resolution.
Sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years as an accounting professional or equivalent experience. Must have prior experience in Accounting and Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment.
Experience with software is required, specific platform tool experience is a strong plus.
Compensation and Benefits Information
Base Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00 / hr
Other Compensation: Discretionary Bonus Plan
All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.

Washington Time Off and Leave
Management and Support Roles: Employees working in the state of Washington will receive the following time off and leave benefits:*
Short-Term Disability Benefits: RGP provides eligible employees up to 12 weeks of paid leave for total and temporary disability due to illness or injury.
